Mad, mad, mad.
Mad, mad, mad.
It's just wrong :?
That sounds like an awesome idea.
Edit: now downloading and sticking onto a VM to try.
Don't get your hopes up, it's an interesting project but very definitely alpha ;)
so alpha that the install won't actually run
edit: got it working under MS Virtual PC, it doesn't like VirtualBox
very basic but shows promise
Quick to boot, uses the windows CLI commands, linux stuff can be used.
Doesn't like my virtual NIC though so can't test networking.
Very interesting project all the same
Looks very cool.
The FAQ is good:
I don't understand why this is "mad"?
Hmm... doesn't seem all that bad after all ;)
It installed perfectly for me today, just as it did when I last tried it about 18 months ago. If I ever get some free time, I'd like to try and get some applications running under it.Quote:

Surely though, if it ever got anywhere near being mainstream, MS would be down on them like a ton of bricks?
I doubt it.
It only looks like windows. Underneath its a completly different system that it built with the idea of being compatible with windows.
I doubt there is anything microsoft could do. otherwisse they probably would have already done it.
I thought this was going to be a thread about Ubuntu ;) interesting project though!
One to watch!
