Ooh nice one! will get them when i go back to work on Monday!
-
Is it sad that I actually have the original disks for each of those? lol
-
I bought their deluxe box thing a few years ago which has all of the games up to that point.
I'm kinda proud to say I bought every one of the series :)
-
I'm actually thinking of sticking these on a few PCs in our ICT room for the kids to play......
-
Big Question is - Will they work on Windows 7??

Should do with compatibility mode........? If not, a virtual PC should do it.
-
True - though would need to be VMWare as i dont have a suitable CPU for Virtual XP.. (Cant install Virtual PC on Windows 7!)
-
they run on W7 with compatibility mode set to Win 95 (for C&C and Red Alert), and ME (for Tiberian Sun)
-
I downloaded tiberian sun. it worked fine on windows 7 home premium on my home laptop. I didn't change any compatability mode.
-
well the old c&c dont run on x64 vista as it needs some 16bit thing for the installer
-
IIRC these all ran fine on Linux/Wine as well - I better test that, just to be sure.
thanks mattx.

:( Keep getting an error with I guess Win API call and have set all exe's to Win95 compat mode.
Any ideas?
I used to love playing this on WW chat, wasn't very good at ranked though.
Cheers

Try using the setup manager for Red Alert 1 (0.9.8)
Red Alert: Archive - The best place for all your Red Alert needs.
Used it this afternoon, worked a treat.
For multiplayer, add IPX protocal to your network connection.
Right away sir! For king and country!
