I found it pretty funny last night on the news when a spokes woman was explaining that peoples privacy would not be infringed by the scanners as skin tone is not shown so it's not pornographic. Then in the background a demo image was shown and (I suspect due to it being 6 PM) the groin area had been blurred out :D
They actually failed to blur an image that was further in the background and you could clearly see a 'privacy' issue. TBH i'm not that bothered about privacy if it stops planes falling out of the sky but I thought it hilarious how censoring of the images made a mockery of the privacy claim.
I also like the way that the threat level has been raise so the consultation has been put to one side and the scanners rushed into service….cynical me? Never ;)
