OFSTED "Right to Work" Evidence
Does anyone know what the official position is on OFSTED requiring the school to keep a copy of your passport on file if you were employed after 1996?
Our school are chasing staff up for copies of their passport at the moment, and a number of us aren't overly happy about the school keeping a copy of this on file!
Can anyone point to any specific information on whether the school are legally required to have a copy, or if they just need to show they've seen a copy/proved right-to-work in another way?
Surely the fact we have an NI number is proof enough?
