Ive only seen 1 snake since ive been here, and that was when i was right in the middle of the desert. Not seen any spiders or anything. Seen a few of the Killer Koalas though.. had a couple of narrow escapes
It's dry here but very windy. Apparently our fence at home has given up already - another thing to fix!
I suppose that after 5 or 6 "stubbies" or Fosters or XXXX you can put up with a lot of things.:drunken_smilie:
rain but no wind makes it cool-hat weather. :D
coupled with http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BARBOUR-BURGHL...item5636f719ce sort of thing
Well lets see, the roof DIDN'T leak! Amazing, normally we would have expected a huge flood in 3 areas with this much rain but not even a drip!, had a pool in the new building as it usually does as the path slopes a bit the wrong way tbh, tunnel from Bus drop off point to our site was under about 1ft of water so students crossing the road, and the river by the edge of campus was washing onto the path next to it so thats a bit too high and getting a bit close for comfort, other than that not too badder day
6 inches of rain in parts of Cumbria and 9 inches predicted by the met office:
BBC News - Heavy rain brings floods to north-western UK
A tad moist here in Kendal!!!!!:eek::eek:
Called back home at 11.30 as danger of flooding. Got here just in time, water about an inch from coming through back door. River burst its banks in middle of town and roads horrendous. School closed by 2pm and students and staff sent home.
Really bad just a bit futher North at Shap. Took me nearly 2 hours to do a 20 min drive due to every turn I made the road was flooded.
