24/7 here too. I think I'll be doing some remote access server maintenance from my garden though.

Holidays are when staff away, so that is when maintenance is carried out. I have total control and will power off any item at my own discretion. During term time, I can't even do tape backups until midnight onwards, let alone any other meaningful maintenance - that's how sad some of the staff are!!
