Woohoo!
I passed my 70-216 MCP today, officially making me MCSA qualified.
Now onto the last 3...
Congratulations!
It was a complete bastard of an exam when I did it a couple of years ago.
Congrats on the past.... it's a real swine of on exam! sat it a couple of years back! and failed.... so did the MCDST as an elective to finish my MCSA 2000
Sitting 70-290 on Tuesday... as I also sat 70-292 upgrade exam and it's a complete swine of an exam to! (failed that one 2!) ... so be careful if ur gonna sit that one!
towen: 70-290 isn't bad at all if you spend plenty of time on it.
The bad news: 70-291 - the WS2003 version of the 70-216 exam E1uSiV3 took - is still a complete bastard! I was the only person at my test centre to pass it and I got exactly 700 marks. It's also by far the least useful of all the MCSA exams I did.
.... not looking forward to 70-291 either - although I've heard various reviews on this one (some good and some bad!)
Hopefully attending the courses should have helped... so far I've been on the following 2003 courses.. 2273, 2277, 2276, 2285 and shortly to do 2279 & 2400.
I will let you know how I get on with 70-290 :?
I've done 290 and 291. I missed them both by about seven marks. Oh, how annoyed was I?
297 is the real bastard.
all the 2003 exams are difficult especially the simulations if you have not done them before. passed all with average scores of 800 but believe me when i tell you it was a solid 6 weeks 16 hours a day 7days a week heartache and when i had finished it took me about 6 months to get over it and settled back down to the nitty gritty stuff. I was also doing the CCNA at the time and was on the last module when i took the microsoft exams, It took me over six months to get back into this and have only just past the last module. Anyone who thinks it is easy should take note.
Hrmm i took my 210 215 and 218 without picking up a book and scored over 800 on each, the 216 was a 5 day course and i scored 831...
Ive got 217,219 and 224 to do now, and doing the 228 for completeness. Ill upgrade to 2003 then so 2 more exams then pass out in a corner somewhere.
I want to do the upgrade from MCSA 2000 to 2003, 292 i think it is, does anyone know if it is hard, whats the best book to read to do it?
humm, 70-292... It's a real tough cookie!! Good look with it if you decide to sit it... The Exam goes into real depth on the "added" features of Windows 2003 over and above Windows 2000 features.
As above I sat it sometime ago, and failed it... I would recommend Loads of revision require and lots of "hands on" time with Windows 2003... before sitting this one..!
Exam Topics:70-292 Requirements
For books; I would recommend the Exam Cram 2 for 70-292
(ISBN: 0-7897-3011-1) other than that get some questions banks and transcenders...
The thing to remember about 70-292 is that it's essentially 70-290 and 70-291 crammed into one exam.
w00t! well done, Congrats!Quote:

I wish you well my friend in all you strive to achieve sincerely.
