Sad isn't it?
Can I just note that, as guilty as I am of abusing and b*tching and whining and complaining about this little issue and that minor problem (although they seem rather big at the time) the main point of that article was quite clear.
We're spending far too ruddy much complaining about cr*p and doing naff all about it.
I for one lamented the lost time in school but made the most of it by using it to step back, think about everything that needed doing and re-evaluating so you can tot up a few hundred back in the black for that £1.2bn of made up money we supposedly lost. Cost vs' value... Isn't it time we remembered that money is not value in itself... We learned the hard way that it's not worth as much as we thought it was, so shouldn't we enjoy the little things some more.
Good grief, where the heck did that lot come from... Anyway, point stands... I'd like to suggest a Comic Relief sponsored event and/or swear box to raise some funds.
1. We spend 24 hours finding positives about our colleagues, look for the silver lining and share them turning the red door into a pretty pink.. OK ok... so maybe a bit too far in the imagery but you get the idea
2. For every outright rant there's a small contribution to Edugeek and then we tot it all up send DB down to BBC TV center to donate our £4 million cheque because doubtless we'll still be finding stuff to complain about :D
Anyway, enough... no, I'm not drunk but damn, I really enjoyed remembering I can't control everything and sometimes have just got to go with the flow. :D
Would it help if I said "Have a nice day..." contink ? ;)
