I ahve a member of staff who created a PDF doc with a password but cant remember it!!! We now need to access it.
Does anyone know of any good software that can be used to remove the password or crack it?

pdfcrack (on most good linux distros, and some bad ones) will attempt to brute force it. Never tried it meself though.

I am not sure if anything can remove the password. You would need to brute force the file, then change it once you are in.
Maybe you need to give them a few test runs with the LART until they realise how much of your time this will take up and miraculously remember it?
If not, you could always post it here and let a swarm of bored geeks attack it, assuming it's got no confidential info in.
You can get PDF crack to run under windows using cygwin. I have a copy. I also have a have a few optimised dictionaries from various sources if you want me to have a go.
