Do you mean you are dissapointed becuase people are not striking?
My union GMB decided not to strike therefore I won't be.
If you wanted to know if people in the unions that are on strike will be striking then you should have worded it towards that.

Nope, I just want to see this resolved as soon as possible. Last year I got the back pay in my December (which arrived on Xmas Eve) pay packet. If it's any later Christmas will be canceled, no presents for anyone, no cards, no decorations, no traveling to see my relatives (some of which are in their 80s and might not even be there by next Christmas).
It's rediculous that we don't get an agreement on pay till several months after we should be receiving it.
Question a bit vague. Many schools are on holiday already. Another chunk of us aren't in Unison.... etc
I am striking but am currently looking to moving away from UNISON as I don't agree with the hard stance. Rumours are that they will be a THREE day strike happening in September.
Currently looking at ATL, ASCL & GMB as alternatives.
I understand it when people strike to keep together, but wish to move away because they don't agree - that's fair enough.
@Elsie - it's a simple question with a simple answer - If you are striking you click YES, if not you click NO, if you arent striking because you aren't in Unison etc then you don't click at all. It really isn't hard.
@Plexer - you don't need to be in a Union to strike. My Dad has told his boss he is striking and that he doesn't belong to a Union at all.

Yes you do to be a union to to strike as otherwise you are breaking the law some info here..

Hmmm, strange Russ - he striked last year and wasn't in a Union then. It's not unofficial as Unison have declared.
A lot of people here feel this strike is not needed or as others put it 'wrong'. I'm going to go the other way - why should any one of us have to pay a monthly fee in order to support what we feel just? Why should my pops pay £20 a month so he can support a cause?

Small but important difference :) ;)
Our LA are expecting union members and non members to strike - the non members in support of the union. They have emailed everyone and put up on the intranet procedures for everyone.
Whilst I'd agree with the caution for anyone... If you strike your employer may take umbrage and you'll lose your job 'somehow', striking is breaking your contract with or without union membership.
Personally I think it's great non members show support.
