@MK-2:
Well now that you've gone private you won't want to associate with us mere mortals will you?
:p :p :p :)
P.S well done M8
Congrats on your new job!
I also happen to have an interview for a Network Manager job on Friday ... I'm currently a 'senior' techie. Can you give me any tips? or point me to any links please? What kind of questions did they ask?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
the questions on the technical side were just about what my roles were, what duties, etc. what software id worked with regards imaging, any experience of online testing. experience with MIS software. also how you deal with very annoying staff, and what areas of my job i feel i specialise in (support, networking, repair etc).
this was done by the head of IT and by a support manager from RM.
the other interview by the head was more based around how i deal with people, what if i didnt like the job, why i want to leave where i am and stuff like that.
one of the questions to me was what if somebody asked you a problem and you didn't know the answer to it. i said that being honest is key, tell them you dont know, and that you will research the problem/solution. also never to give exact times on repairs/fixes and make sure staff are aware so you dont get in a trap of 'you said it would be ready'.
if theres anything else, feel free to PM me or ask here, and good luck :)
Thank you for your advice - All the best in your new job!
Good luck with everything. :)
Congrats on your new job :)

Nothing wrong with RM :)
I’m willing to concede that they appear to of improved with age, my dealings with them 8 ish years ago left me less than impressed, the support was awfull.
yeah 2.4 was pants but CC3 wasn't bad when i was a tech using it. only really did techy jobs though not managing the server, did bits of adding users etc. had a nice front end
Gratz man, hope you enjoy it :)
