If you watch late night TV on the commercial channels you might see adverts trying to get men to call premium rate numbers with the promise of speaking to hot women.
This begs the question: where are the corresponding adverts which say
"Girls! Speak to drooling loosers in your area":confused:
I think its part of the "Womens Handbook" which stipulates that should you wish to speak to drooling losers, nip to the pub and take your pick.
Where are the ones for people to call men waiting in your area in all this equalitys and stuff
I'm sure they exist. I think I've seen them on Sky. Every other advert on Sky after midnight seems to be a dating advert.Quote:

I think the worst one of those ad's i've seen has to be the one where the women are bouncing on those kid's bouncy ball toy things. :S
Is anyone really stupid enough to phone those lines, or sign up for texts with them?
This thread reminds me of 634 5789 from Blues Brothers 2K film (for those not enlightened in the film 634 5789 is the tel number of one of these lines manned by women in their later years).

Clearly though, the reason we see more and more of these adverts is because there's a big market of men/women who call these numbers. The ads must cost thousands to broadcast on television, so god knows how much money they must make a night.
I've got a couple of mates who are beta testers for Skype and got the new 3 Skype phone and get credit and stuff to test them out etc.
They text one of the lines for a laugh so I'm told.
I just wonder if people think the women on the end of the telephone look like the girls on the adverts!

Indeed - and it seemed like a really good idea at the time to set my eBay and Skype id to dhicks6345789 (nice and memorable, you know?), but I have recently found that I get a remarkable number of Skype chat messages from China/Poland/Russia of the more questionable sort...Quote:
