Apparently it is also steak and "something else" day! Not sure this wholesome forum would know about such things though.
@TechMonkey: I knew as some of my friends announced their joining of a group dedicated to it on Facebook... :)
We have a pie day every thursday when a member of the staff pie club goes to the local award winning butchers with an order. They are then heated and eaten with mushy peas in the staff room!!!
