You will all be aware of the crap I have been going through with regards to being laid off and having to give up work to look after my girlfriend. Well I got some very good news today.
In a nutshell I will be entitled to redundancy pay if I leave my other school on or before the day I'm laid off I will be entitled to redundancy pay. I'll be getting between £1200 and £1400 pounds but its better than nothing and will be more than if I continued to work at my other school for a month.
The only drawback is that I will be leaving working before BETT as my last day will be 31st Dec. but I will try and get up there anyway. All I have to do is say I lost my ticket and I should be able to get one issued on the door..... :lol:
