Hi all I have an interview soon for a school which caters for 100 students with special needs (varying needs). It is a network manager position. Could anyone offer any tips for such a school and general tips for a network manager interview.
Research the school itself, their aims/objectives/ethos blahblahblah. Mention other school experience obviously, any examples of Learning Support based stuff will probably prove useful et al.
As rick said, research the school.
When I interviewed technicians I found the shining ones:
Researched the school and checked out the website.
Acted confident and had good eye contact.
Aware of child protection (our Governor would spot this if you don't answer correctly)
Asked questions (This showed interest and wanting to know about the job as much as possible)
Remember to sell your self :)
The above is only from my experience though.
Might be a good idea to familiarise yourself with IT equipment and software for special needs. See Inclusive Technology - All the Help You Need.
