it probably is 25 in Scotland
Fahrenheit
in the summer
@RabbieBurns when my husband was working in Sydney a couple of years ago, he returned the day before we had a foot of snow down. He found the temperature difference very hard to cope with!
Ive been lucky enough to get down to the snow here for the last few winters (did you know it snows in australia - i didnt before i came!?) so have managed to have the best of both worlds.. all prepared for the cold when i arrive en ecosse the welcome party has the thermals! :)
Scottish flights hit as mercury falls to -10C | Herald Scotland
if i make it...
Oh it's lovely here, clear skies 10 degrees.......
Shame it's ten fahrenheit though, the river is almost frozen over and the whole place is white. With more white stuff due.
And I've got me long johns on :D
No snow here yet. 'Freezing Fog' this morning according to the MET office. Got a strange yellowish object in the sky at the moment... were all convinced it's aliens!
Came home at 7pm last night in freezing fog - minus 2 degrees. Ice rink this morning!
Now 3 degrees and clear
It's still -1C here. The sun has been out all day, but it's made no difference. The ground looks exactly as it did when I got up at 6.30am
Where my missus is from in Lithuania it's reaching -20 at the minute, and Schools aren't permitted to close until it reaches -25 :D
Can you imagine trying to enforce that rule here?!
Freezing fog this morning, viability down to 100m (+/- 50m), when you can't decide to leave the fog lights on or turn them off for a few hundred yards knowing they will need to be back on. Counted no less than 5 cars with only sidelights on and 2 with no lights on at all. These people shouldn't be allowed to breed, never mind drive a lethal weapon!
Freezing here too but no fog. In fact the Sun has broken through the cloud cover. I may have to close the blind later today to allow me to continue to work.
Will it return this weekend? Oh please, I would like a day off.
