My sister in law had to go to her school this morning. Other side of the West Midlands. Her Dad drove her.
Now they've closed she's effectively stranded as my in laws have spent the past three hours on the M5!
This is the view from my window at the moment. It's still coming down, must be about 3 or 4 cm deep.
It's been snowing teeny flakes for about 5 hours... We've got about half a centimetre :D
this is us Attachment 16773
looking out on the St John river.
Plenty of snow, all other schools closed for miles around...we're still open -.- most of the kids have been collected by parents so only about 50 left and still they want me, an apprentice IT technician, to stay :(
not a flake!
Sittingbourne-- we are in the yellow bit-- it always misses us!
don't eat the yellow snow!
Hardly any here in Preston. Just small flakes coming down not sticking. Plenty in the Pennines and south Lancashire apparently, so we'll have the kids out with their sledges this weekend :)
sat thru sun- then all will be good-- the site manager gremlins will be out with their grit trollies
they don't mind me calling them this!
Kids were allowed to be picked up from ours from 1, I left at 1.30 (only have to get agreement from my line manager) and got home just as half of the overground was getting shut down.
But now it's totally stopped snowing and all the trains are running again so I feel a bit bad! I just thought it would get worse and worse. Oh well...:D
Arrived in mid Essex to absolutely nothing. Only the remaining snow from the beginning of the week
