Pain in the backside... I've been getting this on gmail ever since I got up about an hour ago. It doesn't affect google calendar, docs or google+, just gmail.
Googling the message hasn't revealed anything useful to indicate what the problem is or how long it's likely to be out. It's not affecting my husband's gmail.
Has anyone else had/got this? I'm starting to suffer from email withdrawal already :(

Outage about 2.5 hours while I was awake... I have no idea when it actually died. It wasn't PC based, I couldn't get to gmail from my phone (on 3G), desktop or son's laptop. As I said earlier, other Google apps weren't affected, only email.
I don't appear to have lost any email (fingers crossed).
This didn't affect anyone else that I know this morning. We were able to log in to other family accounts without a problem. Google obviously just had it in for me ;)
