What do you rate Edugeek Overall? 1 being lowest, 10 being highest

Silly question, this site is an invaluable resource for me on an almost daily basis.

10/10 here full marks

depends what you're rateing it against.

For content 10/10 but for looks only a 7/10 I'm afraid. Speed of the site was also an issue, although this is greatly improved after the guys moved the database. Overall though I rated it 9/10 the thinking being there's always room for improvement!

The site is ace content wise, I'd have to echo Maniac's comments about the looks though, not really the colour scheme or anything I just sometimes find the forum more difficult than many others to navigate. Specifically the forum index which still confuses me most mornings before I get a few cup of coffee in me!

For now though what would you rather have looks or content? Edugeek 2.0 will come along one day which will be based on Joomla so I am sure we can satisfy all your eye candy fetishes then ;) .

In all seriousness it's an excellent resource, has a real community feel with virtually nill trolling or angst and even the spammer quotient is being dealt death blows left right and center.. To be honest I don't know where I'd be without this place now

I agree with the 10 for content. This place definately filled a large gap in the market and has helped me with sooo many things and I've learnt an awful lot from this place. Replies are helpful, quick and unlike many places on the internet, it's completely free. You can also ask pretty much anything regarding any area of IT. Very rare to have all of those. I don't know of any other place which has all of those.

I personally can't fault the layout of the site either though. Maybe it's just because I'm used to PHPBB forums, I don't know.

The only issue I've ever had with the site is the speed, which is in the process of being resolved.

I use a lot of different tech forums, but this is the only one that ticks the niche education box. I've found it to be a goldmine for work related issues.

It's the only forum I'll leave sitting open in a browser all day... says something.
