Hi

Just a quick question regarding Synology DiskStation DS712+ ... It says that its got VM support...

What's happened is that my machine running VMware with windows server 2008 has died (PSU, motherboard or both!). I thinking, if I bought this, and slotted my hard drive in would my VMWare come back to life? (perhaps I've over simplied things!)

No, the diskstation is just for storage. It can offer out that storage to a computer over a network but not run VMs. You need another machine, an actual computer to run the VMs. If its under warrenty then get them in to replace the busted bits.
