In the good old days of our RBC we used to have regularish Technical meetings for the county, mainly centered around the RBC issues but it was a chance for the Guys and Gals to meet up and have a chat.
That phizzeld out a few years back but today Our school got together a smallish crowd of the Guys/Gals from the county to have a sort of informal discussion of a few points that were thought to be hot topics.
One main thing we realised (and it's something Edugeek really heps with) is that as a set of Technicians we really should be pooling our knowledge a lot more. We all had similar issues. It was also good to confirm that we all face similar issues and problems.
Our council has little/no control over the running of I.T. in local schools unlike some areas so we all do our own thing to a degree.
Do other areas run technical meetings?
