This would never have happened in my day...
I've just watched (out of my office window while working very hard
) 3 kids walk half the length of the field, smoking all the way! It's pretty cold outside and great plumes of smoke could be seen following them!
The group of three then stood by the cricket pitch, in full view of all and sundry, where they proceeded to finish their cigarettes.
Needless to say, I enjoy watching kids suffer so this was reported to the senior management. I then watched as they desperately attempted to deny all knowledge of any such activity!

at my last school I went in to work one day after having my haircut the previous evening and a couple of kids stopped me and asked, "Had you hair cut sir? Tell us who did it and we'll sort them out."

@tarquel: They didn't strike me as the sort of people that would hang 'round after school for 40 mins!
Thick mist/fog today so I can't even see the playing field outside my window... or maybe it's lots of the little blighters smoking!

I have VPN access to all the schools from home. SSH to the linux boxes and VNC/RDP everywhere else.
