Has someone gone and pushed the Jetstream north?
Just checked the forecast and next week is looking good.

Which site do you use? They all seem to conflict when I look at them. Both the BBC and Met Office sites hardly ever show the same forecast (even though they use the same data :/). Last weekend was a good example. Whilst we in Lancashire were sure to be joining in the fun with water sports we actually baked in lovely mid-20's sunshine.

I look at this site:
Jetstream Forecast - Jetstream Map Updated Four Times Daily - Netweather.tv
As a rule of thumb, if you're underneath the jetstream, it's wet and windy. We've had Iceland's summer, and northern Europe has had our summer (poor blighters).
According to the animation, we might be in for a for a calm spell this weekend, but next week's not looking too rosy.

I looked at uk.weather.com, which is usually quite good. Trouble is, Atlantic systems tend to be finger-waving exercised at the best of times. Still looks like showers when I go to see the Queen this afternoon.

Torrential rain again

It hasn't rained here in the last three days, which for Wales in 2012, counts as extreme weather.

It was lovely and sunny here until about 10 minutes ago when an entire lake-full of water fell from the sky. The thunder is now rumbling away and the rest of support won't let me turn off the lights to enjoy the lightning. Spoilsports

Hopefully they will push it a few thousand miles further north before I go on holiday to norfolk :-$

I wouldn't come to Norfolk, it's peeing it down!

I said to my doctor, "I'm really suffering with one of those summer ailments. Can you give me something for it?"
He said, "Is it hay fever?"
I said, "No, f***ing trench foot."

There's a strange yellow disc in the sky at the moment. Does anyone know what it is and should I report it as a UFO?
