After successfully rooting my Android phone and loading Cyanogen mod onto it, I decided to jailbreak my iPad last night. it was unbelievably easy and worth it just to get the full blown XBMC client on it!!!
Anyhow, just wondering if anyone else with a jail broken iPad has any good app recommendations?

22nd June 2012, 11:54 AM #3 Name: SplitMail
Cost: Free
What it does: Get the split-screen inbox list & content in portait & lanscape modes
Name: Belfry
Cost: Free
What it does: Add the Apps that you get on the iPhone by default (clock, calculator, weather etc). Add the repo Code:
http://www.rpetri.ch/repo
Name: OpenSSH
Cost: Free
What it does: SSH to your iPad from your computer to change/move files (be sure to change the default password!)
Name: Activator
Cost: Free
What it does: Allows you to program multi-touch gestures to various levels of use (read about it here )
Name: RetinaPad
Cost: $2.99
What it does: Upscale iPhone Apps to full-screen without pixelation
Note: You *can* get this (and lots of other Apps) around the web for free, but I'm not suggesting that you do, of course.
Name: FastCopy
Cost: Free
What it does: Removes the noticable pause when copy&pasting text (a minor thing but still, there's a free fix so why not!)
Name: QuickGoogle
Cost: Free
What it does: Let's you perform a Google search from any place on your iPad (uses an Activator gesture so get that too!)
Name: GridLock
Cost: $0.99
What it does: Let's you put the App icons where you want, instead of always stacking them next to each other. Simple.
Name: Pull to Refersh Mail / Pull to Refresh Safari
Cost: Both are Free
What it does: Let's you refresh your inbox / safari page but pulling down on the screen. Another simple tweak that is nice.
Name: VLC Media Player
Cost: Free
What it does: It's VLC, on the iPad. Enough said!

22nd June 2012, 12:13 PM #4 can you wipe your ipad back to factory/backup after if i dont like it???

22nd June 2012, 12:26 PM #5 Yeah you can just do a restore from a backup within iTunes, or update to the latest iPad software version - either one will remove the jailbreak and all the Apps you get from Cydia (jailbroken App store).
You will lose anything you paid for VIA CYDIA though, and will have to pay again to re-install it if you ever go down the jailbreak route again.
EDIT: Just to clarify, you wont lose the actual Apps from the App Store, only the jailbroken apps from the Cydia store!

I believe if you create a Cydia Store account, then any apps you may purchase are tied to this account and are therefore re-downloadable for free if you re-jailbreak.

iFile is very useful too...
It allows you to view iOS filesystem and files as root and also allows you to setup an adhoc network on your idevice so that you can browse, edit and add files from a web browser.
