How brave am I feeling today .. that is the question ..
I've finally managed to get the script to deploy Office 2010 working which means I can work with small images on WDS and just deploy the bits I need to deploy to the places I need to deploy them. I'm going to start working on driver injections very shortly too (DriverPacks me thinks, gets me out of all sorts of difficulties along the way).
But the thing I refer to is Sophos Enterprise Console .. am I feeling brave enough to once again try and get this working for the school to give me that bit of extra control again over the AntiVirus through the school ..
Or should I just quit whilst I'm ahead .. lol ..

20th June 2012, 01:51 PM #3 I found SEC a doddle compared to WDS!
However, WDS gets easier over time....not sure you can say the same about SEC!!

20th June 2012, 02:12 PM #5 What issues did you have with Sophos? Only problem we encountered was that it couldn't uninstall McAfee 8.8 from the Console, so instead we used a script to uninstall it then went back to the Console and installed Sophos across the network.

Meh .. what problems didn't I have .. I was upgrading from 3.x to 4.x and it just all went wrong and I couldn't be bothered sitting down to work it all out so I shoved an install in the image instead .. I'm just trying to claw back a bit of control of what's installed where now that I actually have the time to do it for this summer (previously things have been a little mad to say the least, but as I have no new stuff to put in (no cash to spend at the school) then I'm fixing those bits that I want to but haven't really needed to up until now)

20th June 2012, 04:20 PM #8 Well, I've just voted on my own Poll .. and I give up .. I'm Brave, but not stupid. Tried a couple of times and got an SQL error, so I'll just bang it out with a script instead. I don't need to manage the thing just yet and if I do get more time to play, then I'll do so! lol ..

Ditto. Resolved now but the migration was painful and required a lot of help from support.
Now its done I like it, especially bringing in encryption into the console, that's nice.
