My brother is looking for some software along with a VOIP provider that will allow him to use his internet connection for call cueing on a small level - ie upto 5 calls being cued at once. Also the ability to leave a message rather than wait. Anybody know of anything that doesn't cost the earth to setup and run?
I think you can setup a call parking system on asterisk. 3CX might do it aswell but i'm not sure. I'm no expert on VoIP so that's all i can really say![]()
I've got 3CX running here on my Windows box (not allowed another PC to put Linux on, and I can't really run Asterisk in a VM)
I haven't tested call queuing, but I have got it setup so they get the hold music (changed to Code Monkey) for 2 minutes, then are asked if they want to continue holding or leave a message.
It does the job pretty well - but if Asterisk can be done, I would say that is better. There is an Asterisk@Home distribution which appears pretty simple to implement.
Thanks for replies so far guys! I will look into Asterisk.

Note: Asterisk@Home is now called Trixbox.
