I have 3 more items to place in the man cave before it is complete.
1) upgrade from 32" tv to 60" LED TV
2) beer fridge
3) leather armchair
Then my life shall be complete![]()

I look forward to the fact it seem to be a women's decision if a man-cave gets built or not... ;-)
My future house might need 2!
I am waiting for the invite as are all other midland edugeekers!
So the Mrs gets the house, you get the garage, sounds about right...
i'll have to post up pictures of the living room at mine sometime. There's 3 guys in our house, so the whole thing is basically one giant man cave. multiple leather recliners, big TV and surround sound with consoles, proper table football, darts and another sofa in the kitchen (so we can relax while i get the missus to cook the dinner of course!) and a dedicated beer fridge to go with.
It just makes you think eh..... why get married?!

More or less... her kitchen doubled in size as part of the work, and she has a shiny new electric range cooker, so she can't complain. I'm more than happy with the deal though
Do it... starting to feel altogether too spoilt here now, I need someone else to deflect the envy off me. Share your man caves!
so i'm assuming she can cook you nice food for you and the drinking buddies and deliver it to the door? (not into the cave itself mind you, thats men only).
the one problem i find with the whole downstairs being a man cave is that the girlfriend has to enter it, and she beats me at some of the console games, so then i have to confiscate the controllers and send her to do some washing up or something...

There is a way to make the cables tidy and visible at the same time. Get a sheet of tinted table glass cut by a glazier and have four hole drilled near each corner. Get come screws and washers/spacers so that you can screw it to the wall but with just enough space behind for the width of a cable.
This way all the cables are trapped behind the glass, one layer thick in parrallel up the wall allowing you to marvel at their glory and just yank out the screws/other easier release fixing method when you need to change something. You could also bottom light the glass with LEDs to make the whole thing glow if you wanted.
It would probably look impresive if done even half right![]()

Ah, I'm a bachelor, so my entire place is a man cave. Good times.
