Except when you lock your machine or are using a non-maximised application.
My machine is rarely locked when I'm in my office (and even if it was, the power saving turns the monitor off after 3 minutes), and even non-maximised apps fill most of the screen, leaving just the bit round the edge which is typically the boring bit of a picture.

I used to have nothing as my background but I fancy a change every now and then.

I used to have my dad's porsche on my desktop and now i've realised it's a horiible nasty silver german thing. I'd much prefer the picture of torquay i took as you see in the screenshot or for a car a discovery

Re: The Post Your Desktop Thread

It's system2free but I edited it slightly as it was looking for windows partitions, which I have none of, and some of the text didn't fit. I can send you the modded one if you like.

Oh they do two themes one for single and one for dual core.

Yeah I wouldn't mind a copy if that's OK... I had the same problems with the text not fitting properly. Thanks

Re: The Post Your Desktop Thread

All these flippy roladex and spinny cube things do my head in. I dont want my desktop swinging about all over the place, I want my desktop to stay static so that I can actually use it.

Re: The Post Your Desktop Thread

rofl, I totally agree, I actually only have one desktop so the spinny cube doesn't really work very well, partner uses up to four desktops as once though, keeping different desktops for different kinds of work, so I could see why it might be more useful in that sense.
