Not as far as I know, but presumably Panasonic's version would be based on Active 3D rather than the LG's Passive 3D (and commensurately more comfortable glasses and convenient usage)

Only thing I remember was <Shop Name> using a PDA / Bar Code scanner device where you have it attached to the trolley and scan in the items you want to purchase and at the end before you walk out the shop you insert <debit / credit card > and insert your own pin to pay and then go, a self checkout per trolley instead of having physical self checkouts ( about 10 or so ) and still having to wait in a que

I kind of have an idea for something cool but its not an invention because it's already been invented.... You know in supermarkets you see those big tubes by the checkouts and staff put money in them and money goes whizzing up the tube and off it goes.... well the same sort of thing BUT between houses and streets... So for instance a pipe at my house that goes to my inlaws.... it would be used for things like "could I borrow some sugar" and there you go you'd insert the bag o' sugar into the tube ... type that persons tube number in along with the password and .... BANG... It appears at the other end and they now have a bag of sugar and they can tube it back to you once they are finished. Obviously the more you pay for an install the bigger the tube you get the bigger things you can tube to people. I imagine it would work on some sort of vacuum thing!

Could also be done at corporate level too - maybe between offices ... who knows!

    Good eh?

    Damn it to hell.

I've being toasting bread for years, but never bothered to patent it. Too late! Some guy patented toast in 2000.

If I'd been on the ball, I could have made my fortune by licensing toast.

Sainsburys do the barcode scanners on the trolleys too but it's a PITA when you get a rescan - my mum used to get rescanned every single time. She made a complaint about it and now her card doesn't work at all!

I'd like to invent the 'desk bubble' for people like me that hate the cold and who have colleagues who continually turn the air con to 'refridgerate' - it's colder in our office than it is in the fridge!! I'd like a Plastic desk bubble around my desk to maintain a toasty 24 degrees all year round thanks.

We came up with the CoBOC.

    =====
Once, An unusual end to a discussion in the office "Laser of coldness" lead the research team to do some quite extensive investigation. Obviously the idea of a Cold Laser Beam is likely to be a total impossibility unless someone can show us a working design.

More research turned up little on cold weapons, so the research has begun into developing a weapon of cold. Popular culture has numerous super human or Alien characters that have Freeze Rays, we decided that "Freeze Ray" was a bit lame and not as catchy as LASER.

And, Cold Amplified by Stimulated Emissions of something beginning with "R" was never going to sit well.

The design also had to be able to send a beam of coldness , no stray "blast" just a nice beam.

    Therefore the CoBOC was born.

    The "Coherant Beam Of Cold"

Unfortunately initial research has failed to come up with even the beginnings of a practical design.

    The research Continues.

They do have lasers used for refrigeration, kind of, while studying Bose s they found that one way to cool an atom to as close to absolute zero as possible was to use individual photons to compensate for and oppose the motion of the particle. Kind of like bombarding a bowling ball with ping pong balls traveling really fast in the opposite direction. Each applies a small force in opposition to the larger force reducing it by small increments to near zero.
