    Google Apps issue

Has anyone with Google Apps domain come across the following before:

Share a document with someone outside the domain, i.e. a normal GMail address and tick to send the email notification

But the notification never arrives and the sender gets the following message:

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

    emailaddresshere@gmail.com

    Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 Relaying not permitted (3.7): emailaddresshere@gmail.com (state 17).

May seem like a silly question but have you allowed out-of-domain sharing for your organisation.

Under settings drive and docs, sharing

Yes, I can also see the document in my personal GMail account Docs section, just the notification email delivery fails

It could be SPF as in this post Google Groups but I would think that would prevent any outgoing mail.

Sounds like google is trying to send it via your email server, which doesn't permit this relaying. Who are you using for email, google or someone else?
