I'm putting my money on Nyan Nyan bursting out.

In all seriousness, it is very difficult to wrap my head around the incredibly cool stuff we occasionally manage to achieve as a species. That video is happening up there in the sky, right now, orbiting thousands of metres above our heads... and everything is so small... and space so big... and then my brain packs up.

There is something disconcerting about seeing NASA using Windows XP with its Fisher Price interface.

I know just watching the feed as these 2 vehicles orbit together is amazing.

Is there any idea on how far out Orbital Sciences maiden flight is? My general impression was that they were not all that close - maybe a year or two away from a proper flight (not just a test flight)

Their demo flight is set for October/November, and the early indicators say late 2012 early 2013 for a proper flight.
