ok that got your attention right we need your views...
Last time Tony /Lodge Park kindly covered lot of costs last year but at last free rides cant last for ever so some way we need to finance the event...
We need to know if we were to charge how much would you pay bearing in mind can cost anything up to £500 to put this on...
So do we charge and if so how much are you willing to pay or do we find some kind of sponsor for event but remember that they would have one of slots and chances of finding 500 quid from one company is slim...
Please choose closest figure to amout you would pay...
Cheers

vote £10 but anything up to £10 really
Hard call considering some people have to travel a great distance first - but like you say russ, it needs to be paid for somehow lol

this is it if majority of people say no not going to pay anything then fine..
we will try and find sponsor but at some point we have to say ok cant so lets charge and that point we need to know what you willing to pay..

£10 sounds very little to ask from our schools. Usually I get "well we'll pay for travelling" meaning: "you can go in your own time *wink wink*".
So added to the travel claim seems not a lot!.
I'll test the waters and see what response I get before voting

I put money aside for things like this already, and will do so again next year, so I can cough up for £20.

I wasn't computing (nice use of language) in the cost of travel, just how much I'd pay to get in the event.

I think about £10-£20 is a fair amount, although I could probably get the school to stump up about £50 tops.

Re: Conference 2006
id put £20 up for a good cause, you pay more than that for a support call...

Having been to the last conference it is was worthwhile. A small contribution of £10 would not break the bank.
I'm sure though that if one and all were invited, i.e any educational personnel interested in I.T, sponsors would be forth coming. Promotors that atend the BETT conference pay a small fortune for a stand, so a couple of hundred squid is a drop in the preverbial ocean.
Also teachers should be included as we need their feedback as to the service that we provide. i.e the popsitive feedback and negative feedback.
