I've just ceased being a mature student (I usually have to explain that when I register on fora!) and have a long-standing interest in IT as a hobby because it's not my primary profession. I've got my A+, Network+ and CCNA exams and WIP include MS certs leading to MCSA. I have a keen interest in Network Administration, Security and Penetration Testing.
I've followed many of the threads here and thought it about time that I dipped my toes in the water and registered so I can contribute to the community. I suspect that I'll be primarily an "asker" rather than a "responder" but, with time, that should change!
Hi and welcome.
Feel free to ask any questions at any time.

Hi Me,
You probably won't find many of those here. EduGeek is for educational IT professionals, and as such, it focuses more on the IT aspects (implementation, policies, technical) more than the curriculum and resources for learners.

i'm not too up on macs, but there are plenty of fans on here.
my colleague Ulkary is also pretty hot on them, so browse the forums and ask away if you need anything.

14th June 2009, 12:47 PM #1001 I'm Ollie, 17, part time IT technician at the Arthur Terry School in Sutton Coldfield, I'm also a sixth form student at the school, just reaching the end of year 12.
I was well geeky and helped the IT techs from year 8 so when I was 16 and we were moving buildings they started paying me which I was rather happy about.
I don't think I could be any happier with my job at the moment, doing what I enjoy and so much better than working in Waitrose. :P
