James - didn't get the job I'm afraid

Interview went great and they complemented me as being the strongest candidate in respect of the actual interview. However, as always, my lack of server experience let me down - ah well, will just keep plugging away.

Hello EduGeek.

I've been a Support Technician / Network Manager in a number of primary schools (typically 13-15 different schools, 16-19 sessions, over a repeating two week schedule) for about 8 years but I've just got a job as a full time Network Manager in a secondary school (to start in September) so I thought it might finally be time to actually register here

I'll be having a good read around over the summer while I work my notice

Thanks in advance of all the help I'm bound to get!

I'm sure I was a member here before you migrated to vbulletin.

I'm not currently in an IT role, I am working to remedy that

I recognise some faces from other IT related forums.

About embark on my 4th attempt at an Open University Degree, not that I couldn't do it just a case of me being too lazy

Just started on Monday as ICT Technician / Network Supervisor at a secondary school in Wrexham.

All going well so far considering this is my first job in this type of thing and the last bloke left before I began. (and left very little instructions)
