    Hmm, if the G is supposed to be soft, then I think maybe Gizmag | New and Emerging Technology News, is one of 'those' sites that everyone seems to be keen on blocking nowadays as opposed to the tech type I thought it as.

    Agreed. Just because he invented it doesn't mean that he can control how people pronounce it, plus it plain stupid to use a soft g and he shouldn't get so worked up about it.

    Especially as the acronym stands for Graphics Interchange Format. You don't say 'Jraphics Interchange Format' do you?
