Blog Entries: 4 Rep Power: 10 | Talking of whisky my dad has a 15 year old Bit older than that now one of these bowmore which is really nice but the cream de la cream is a single cask ardbeg only for me and him on special times ie christmas birthdays and weddings but as it is a 1974. at the the moment it retails at about £500 but we are looking at getting a new one 1975 bit cheaper and taste just as good i hope.(need to drink it neat no ice water lemonade) doing this is sacraladge |

Blog Entries: 1 Rep Power: 55 | A bit of ice in some of the peatier whiskies is not a bat thing ... it helps to release the phenols that give it the characteristic flavour ... but too much can numb the taste. Personally I prefer to roll it on my toungue to get the same effect, but even the serious tasters are known to have a bit of ice in the odd dram. |
