IT Manager. Salary after Single status...

Hi All,
I wonder if you can help.. My Council have just gone through single status!! My 'IT manager' salary has dropped from 30k to 26k..

Basically wanted to know what other IT managers are earning in a secondary school environment..

i..e

South Wales.

1000 Students
600 PC
5 Win 2008 Servers
Sims and Academic.. All managed n house!!

Around 1200 kids across 3 schools in one campus, 550 PCs (half and half PCs and Laptops), 12 servers, 70+ IWBs and Projectors. 3 SIMS.net installs etc...

All managed in house - £23k ish. Plus 1 techy too.

At an old job in the uk I was paid £25k for a technicians job

In the many schools I have worked in when I was the tech the managers were on over 30k.

I would be looking for another job. If your earning less than some of the normal classroom teachers there I would be out !!

I was paid just under 27 for 2 members of staff, 1000 users (or thereabouts), 650 devices & 8 servers. This was just outside London.

I left for this reason as we were to get a whole new load of AV to support with no provision for staff or realisation of what were doing, plus an 11k pay rise.
