    PC Temp Sensor

    Hiya,

    Ive just brought a new pc case which has a temp sensor with it, Am i supposed to put the sensor in a specific in the PC or just leave it lying anywhere?

    Any advice?

    I'd put it near the exhaust fan personally.

    I tend to attach mine to a hard drive as you don't want that to overheat...

    Hard drives already have an internal temperature sensor though (queriable via SMART).

    True enough but when you have an LED sensor display on the front of the PC it's a handy reference..

    And to be fair you can get temp readouts from various utils depending on the motherboard manufacturer, etc..
