Also, apparently, a world record for that too:

inb4 mass reports of smashed iPhones.

Is this software being produced by the same company that makes the screens on the iPhone?

I'd love to place an iphone with this app on one of those air machines (the ones people wear a suit and float over, hopefully people know what i mean) and see this app thinks the phone is permanently falling![]()

If it works by looking at the output from an accelerometer this idea would not work. The iPhone would stop accelerating toward the ground while suspended in the air current. Unless the flow was not steady enough to keep the phone stable in one place so that it rose/fell continuously?

I say put it on a little bungie cord of it's own then go bungie jumping.
Or just throw the phone off a bridge.
Throw yourself off while your there for falling for such a hopeless device/marketing scam too.

Probably uses the GPS based altitude rather than accellerometer?
Skydive with it?
GPS is too slow for that kind of thing.
I thought the article was going to be 'Throw Your iPhone In The Air: Time How Long It Was Out Of Your Hands. Was It A Record?'

Whats that saying again, a fool and his money....
"From the same company that brought you the airborne app, underwater iphone adventures, see how long your iphone floats for."![]()
