    August

Yes, I know that its a long way off, but ...

Those of you also on "pro rata, term time" contracts, what do you do, or can recommend, for temporary gainful employment during August?

I don't do work during the summer. I watch TV, much to the annoyance of bossman

    Re: August

August - that's family holiday and then riot control at home (making sure my kids don't get bored enough to decide that fratricide would be a good idea!)

And at the end of August, there's the traditional few days panic as I discover that all the school uniform that was miles too big in July is now miles too small... and then name tapes

    Re: August

We finish up for the summer at the end of June

I'll be working hard in school over July, got a ton of work I've planned. Then I'm off to Cyprus for a holiday at the beginning of August until the school returns.

Oddly I always take the last two weeks off as thats when staff return to check up on their classrooms now and then and have a habit of asking for last minute super utterly urgent work to be done at short notice.

Spending time on my php coding packages and getting the much sought after features in.. Oh and keeping the other half (who's a teacher) happy and less than bored.
