Graphics help - reduce line thickness

I'm uploading a school plan layout to a Unifi controller but the wall lines are a bit thick - what technique can I use (in Gimp or paint.net - dont have photoshop) to thin them down so they don't swamp my network map?

Any ideas?

Wow, haven't posted on here in ages, the joy of going fulltime

In Gimp,

Select the red,

Select > Shrink (about 10pixels)

Select > Invert

Delete key

Done

Not bad but if I shrink enough to get the lines to thin, some of them disappear - so have you got anything better?

Import into inkscape and draw straight lines over the top

Yes, vector redraw would be best.
