It must be Wednesday, I must have too much time on my hands, so here is this week's PQOTW.
Today is our school sports day. When I was child I hated sports day. It wasn't that I was bad at sports, I was just average - so I never won a race, nor did I lose one. I was rarely picked to do anything, so I spent the entire afternoon getting sunburn on the school field wondering if anyone would notice if I just went home.
However, I do remember once winning a 4 mile run and being talked about for about, ooh, 3 hours. It was quite nice. And it leads me on to this week's question:
What is your greatest sporting achievement?
It doesn't have to be from your school days.

Just got in to Kite surfing, so will probably have a go at a competition in couple of years time, if i dont get eaten by a bloody seal
Catching a 36lb pike when I was a teenager. My heaviest coarse fish to date. Apart from that I can't think of anything.
My name was put forward to the England selectors to play darts for England against Scotland and Wlaes. I didn't get picked....
Cheers

NopeLike yourself I was a middle-of-the-road kid and didn't win anything.
I got hit in the eye with a tennis ball (at quite some speed) though, if that counts![]()

While at primary school, we entered 2 teams into my (future) high school's summer fair 5 aside comp. I have always been useless at football, but a few of us went down to watch, and because it was just a laugh, the teacher let us play. The two teams got swapped around a fair bit throughout the day. The last match for our 2 teams was against each other. A particular one would get placed if they beat the other. So, the strategic, and sportsman like instruction from our teacher was "Team A, stand still and let Team B win!" I was on Team A for that match, but because I had played for Team B during the day - I got a medal, my first and only medal for football - it is quite treasured!

I was at the top end of Ladies Division 2 for K1 Slalom (kayak)...
And won the girls K1 event at the North Yorkshire Schools Slalom Championships
I was rubbish at everything else! Although I vaguely remember coming 2nd in the 800m at Sports Day aged about 15 as I was one of the few fit enough not to drop dead by 400m!![]()
Ladies....sports....kits.........
*faints*
(I played squash in a hampshire league, back in my younger, and CONSIDERABLY fitter days)
Realising that I didn't have to participate in sports days and never bothering again
Does completely mullering everyone in a Midtown Madness 2 tournament at a LAN party count as sport?

CAGE, Jake!
I was the second reserve for the Netball team when I was 13
I never did anything with sport at my high school (a girl's grammar). You were either good at sport, very very academic or good at music.
Guess which one I am!!
I do a lot more exercise now but nothing competitive - I can't help thinking that knocking a ball back and forth is a bit pointless.
Getting picked for my Primary school's first XI cricket team back in NZ in the early 80's by opening the bowling at the "trials", and taking 4 wickets in the first over (including a hat-trick).
When I was about 14, I won a cracker eating competition, I ate 2 cream crackers the quickest, no water. Very dry, but I won a selection of taped and posters. Does this count?
