    Migrated to BT Infinity today....

Been with Sky for several years on their broadband, tv & phone package, and due to our location was lucky to get 1Mbps for download.

Today, nice man from Openreach installed BT Infinity and I'm now running at 36.5Mbps down with approx 7.5Mps Up.

    Happy!!!

Did you switch your phone too?

We dumped BT a few years back after endless problems with ADSL of 0.8 Meg down. Switched everything to Sky and got 3.52 Meg overnight.

I'm tempted to go for Infinity, but experiences with BT last time were SO dire, I'm very hesitant

Yep, switched the lot back, although we never moved the phone over to Sky.

Sky are going to launch their own FTTC service in April, but its going to cost 20 for unlimited per month. I got fed up with the drivel my kids were watching on Sky so binned it completely.

It's very frustrating here. Virgin cabled the whole town, but didn't do our road... it runs across the top of it on the main road 20 yards from our house. BT was our only choice for a long time and we're not out in the sticks. We can see the infinity boxes just round the corner and BT allege we can have it. I think I'll hang on until April and see what Sky's pricing is like. I'm not keen to return to BT
