Default Lesson Plans

Does anybody here teach to Community members and parents i.e. in a free course the school might provide?

If so what do you teach? Word, Excel, Dreamweaver etc.

Also, I was thinking about sharing lesson plans, I will be putting mine online, free for other people to use and if anybody wants to do the same?

I have been asked to think about putting something together...

starting with an idiot's guide to using the PC and security.

I need to think hard though as people will be changing over from XP to Vista at home (the fools) while we will be XP here for some time to come.

The real problem from my point of view is time. There'a limit to what I can achieve in 15 hours a week!

We have a few guides that we use as part of our introduction to the Laptops for Students scheme.

They are being re-written at the moment but I can put some online once they are ready (or get a minion to do it!)

Yeah, me too.

I'm starting a new job which involves community classes. I know the school want a VLE and we're leaning towards Moodle, so I have started writing moodle lesson plans if anybody is interested in them when they are ready.

They will be in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, FrontPage, Dreamweaver (for home users) and possibly even Flash.

We are just creating basic handouts ... if you are really looking at doing courses then I would suggest that you look at creating SCORM objects so that they can be easily shared between different MLEs. It will take more time but worth it in the long run.

I would also look at the work that Darren Smith (aka Dagza) has done on www.e-subjects.co.uk if you are looking at Moodle based courses.
