    Learning Music

I used to do piano as a kid but sucked at it. Gave up after a year and this was over a decade ago! I want to try my hand at violin as an adult though and wondering if anyone had any idea of where to best start.

I should imagine that there are plenty of beginners books - go to a music shop and ask! Also I think there are some tutorials on YouTube as well.
Obviously lessons are the best way but they are expensive.

video ttorials are the best way I suppose is you dont want to pay for lessons. Its rather difficult to understand anything from the book, i mean how to use fingers and hands, how to move ur hands correctly, etc. U need to have an example of all this stuff. And vide is perfect. But books are necessary too for learning notes and so on.
I ve tryed to learn how to play the guitar by myself, I read books but wasnt able to do anything until my friend showed me what to do (he plays the guitar well) and gave me video lessons.
