Does anyone use photo paper for laser printers?
No, but after borrowing some nice 120gsm matt printing card from the art department I am more than happy with the results as the laser printer leaves a slight glossiness to the image anyway. Very good quality printout for photos etc.
We tried actual gloss laser paper in our printers once but it turned out to be a total waste of time for photos. As jonathon28 says above, laser toner sticks to the surface instead of permeating like inks do, so all you get is a layer of matt toner on top of some really expensive paper - the gloss effect of the paper was cancelled out unless your photo was mostly white.
Thanks for the replies, I will stick with the 120gsm paper I have.
