Radio 1 if I'm on my own or Pandora if others or when R1 gets dire. Does depend on what is going on in the office though. This week had it on non-stop as only one in. Other times it depends on what tasks everyone is doing and what mood everyone is in. Would love to have it on permanently though

    Re: Music in the office?

We the few that work during the holidays need music to keep us going.

Last Summer had 8 hours of Dance/Trance banging out everyday through the speakers attached to the interactive whiteboards. the corridors were ringing to the sound of "smack my bitch up" by the Prodigy. Didn't half get some strange looks of the staff that put in an appearance now and again.

During term time, me and the techs usually have the radio on streaming through itunes, it aint too loud and keeps us going

We have music on in the office during term time... it helps to keep the mind creative!

During the holiday though something will always be on loud as it is so quiet in the school... got Bowie going at the moment to cover up the beeping fire alarm control box outside my office...

No... they are replacing sensors and the main control box... but it just beeps continually now... not sure what would be worse, burning or the beeping - even when I'm off site I'm sure I still hear that stupid beep.

Heh, someone else that has tinitus from Fire Panels, I think I do as do various other staff that live with them in / outside there rooms. I can hear it down a long corridor and through a firedoor now, and no its not that loud im just used to hearing it and running to look and deal with it before its a full scale alarm rather than a warning that were going to die
