    An interesting problem.

Get a phone call this morning from one of senior members of staff, asking us to pop up for a moment. He's got something interesting to show us.

So, suitably interested we wander up. Knowing this member of staff's sense of humour we expect to see his PC dancing on the table or his keyboard to have grown plantlife. But no.

Anything with a metal or plastic bottom on his desk was swimming in water. Keyboard, Mouse, a 30cm ruler. Yet a paper folder was fine.
Head scratcher! No leaks, no signs of obvious condensation. Everything else including other desks completely dry. Room was nice and warm even overnight. Could only put it down to condensation really but he was just after knowing if his keyboard was safe to use as he's just poured a litre or so out of it

change in temperature and humidity can do this. If the room has been humid and cold over the course of the holidays (due to heating not being on) and then it gets to temperature, it will cause a lot of condensation and humidity that will cling to non-porous substances such as metals and plastics.

Said teacher trying to be a comedian and get a new keyboard in one foul swoop, one litre of water on the keyboard should stop it from working, lemmie just call IT and see if they will swap it for something a bit newer ....
