i think that they need to be tought good transferable skill sets, and not just Ms office, Paintshop etc. and i think programing shuld be included but in a way that is future proof ive done VB and pascal in the past. now that these languages are object orentated i cant see them changing any time soon and a skill set in one visual language is not to dificult to move to one of the others. and i think that these are some good skill sets to obtain.

Sorry, couldn't find the English version, but I saw this advert on the TV last night, and thought it pertinent.
Expresses the "Media studies" culture we seem to be slipping into though; ask them to make the charts in the first place and crunch the numbers/data and they'd just look at you and drool.
Ask them to make that data wow, dazzle and dance on the page, and damned if they don't know how to re-write Powerpoint so much that the monitor actually gets up and teaches Zumba while showing the presentation.
