Pulse is pretty good for putting feeds together and letting you read the article in app.
+1 for the kindle app, I wouldn't reccomend trying to read whole books on it but its great for reading when your kindle or tablet are not with you.
I use evernote on my tablet for note taking etc... not really tried it on my phone.
Power Control Plus lets you add custom button bars to your home screen, I have one bar for connectivity which has: Wifi On/Off, Bluetooth On/Off, BT Discoverable, GPS ON/Off, Sync On/Off

I have AVG on my tablet, although all it seems to do is moan at me for having the developer options enabled.

+1 for AVG. Tried it this time after a factory reset. Had Creative Apps Antivirus Free before. Both do the same thing - check anything that gets installed. Both seem fairly unobtrusive. Would recommend either.

14th December 2011, 09:06 AM #22 HTC Sensation here. Commonly used apps (other than the obvious Facebook, GMail, etc) are:
ChromeMarks (sync bookmarks with Chrome desktop browser)
Chrome to Phone (send text from Chrome desktop browser to phone's clipboard)
Barcode Scanner (doesn't do QR though)
DropBox
Drop7 (number puzzle game)
eBay
Find My Car (allows you to flag any location, and then use Maps to get back to that place)
Fruit Ninja
Google Sky Map
IMDB (movie database)
Juice Defender - power saving thing, really effective but does need a bit of configuring to maximise use (set up locations on WiFi, customise apps list). Note that you need to turn on the "disable via sms" function, otherwise you won't be able to use tracking/wiping tools if you lose your phone.
Kindle
Lookout - AV product, free does malicious code checking, paid for one blocks phishing sites and such like too
MetOffice Weather
Movielicious - catalogue movies and DVDs by scanning barcode
Navigation - reasonable satnav app, but struggles like most with knowing exactly where you are, so can give very late instructions, useful if I get caught short without my TomTom though
Sky+
SoundHorn - "listens" to 10 seconds of music playing on radio, etc and tells you what the track is
Spotify, assuming you have a premium account
SpringPad - note-taking, also has web interface so can add items from phone and then see them on PC, this is my "to do list" in work
Red Laser - barcode and QR scanner

15th December 2011, 12:11 PM #24 Overlook Fing. Sounds odd, but you will ALL like it.
Also ALF for lovefilm and squeezecommander for my slim devices/logitech squeezeboxes (their app is rubbish by comparison).

I'm not a myspace or twitter user so I can live without those, and I don't have sky so I can live without that but although it is an intergrated app(s) I would have to say the ipod app which has now become audio and video ( 2 seperate apps )
I use my iPhone as a jukebox in the car so I don't have to have a multitude of discs everywhere
